Nurturing a Green University

Thursday, March 22 beginning at 5 and Friday, March 23, 8:30-5:00

(See the Final Report and Recommendations)

You are invited to become one of 100 faculty, staff, students, and administrators in an all-day Friday (and Thursday evening) workshop to expand our environmental knowledge and to brainstorm action plans of action for units of the university. You will have an opportunity to:

  • Share information with environmentally interested people from all over the university as we explore Emory's current efforts and challenges
  • Deepen your awareness of current issues and learn what leading schools are doing to minimize negative environmental impacts and to restore environmental quality.
  • Explore the intersections of curriculum, operations, and an emerging Emory culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Strengthen your vision and leadership for the future

The workshop will be led by Second Nature, a nonprofit group from Boston, and will include two outside speakers. Three meals will be provided.

Application

Sponsored by the Year of Reconciliation Workshop Committee, the Office of the Provost, the Chaplain's Office, and Emory College Joint Activities Fund.
